Cakes are shipped using dry ice or gel paks.

 

Standard Cake Shipping rates are $15 for 2-3 day.

There is a 5-Business Day Baking Lead on all items; orders will ship as soon as possible within those 5 business days

Shipping of shelf-stable items are a flat rate of $10 for small boxes; $13 for medium boxes.

Delivery Dates

We bake to order, and ship as soon as possible. To insure freshness, we ship Monday-Wednesday. Those seeking overnight availability, please call the shop during working hours at (618) 622.9930 to inquire. All items are not available overnight (i.e., cheesecakes, for example, take between 7-8 hours to prepare, bake, and chill for shipping. Some areas do not deliver overnight. However, we do bake a number of them on Mondays, and may have one available to ship overnight. Call for availability).

Standard shipping is 2-3 day service available for shipments sent Monday-Wednesday for delivery Wednesday-Friday.  

PLEASE NOTE--For some areas, although we ship 2-3 day service, your cake may arrive in one business day from the ship date.   We do not take responsibility for cakes that arrive one day early.

Alternatively, you can place an order specifying a date Monday-Wednesday to ship in the future in the comments section, and we will be happy to ship it on those dates. We recommend that you check if your recipient will be available to take receipt of the cake on the delivery date (ie-not on vacation or out-of-town).  This is especially important during the holidays. Also, be sure you have the correct address. We do not take responsibility for cakes that are delivered to incorrect addresses or for cakes delivered to recipients out of town.

Surprises are nice for some gifts, but it is best to tell your recipient to expect the package to ensure its safe delivery and handling.

Tracking

After you place your order, you will receive an email confirmation. When the cake is shipped, you will receive order tracking information. You can use this information to track when your package is shipped and to inquire when it arrived.

Residential deliveries may arrive as late as 8pm.  There is no signature release required on our deliveries, with the exception of pre-arranged overnight shipping through direct contact with staff.

We are not able to ship to PO Boxes.

Handling

Please unpack and refrigerate or freeze your cake upon arrival.  Please see our handling instructions for further information. Please reuse or recycle your shipping materials. Shipping is 2-3 day priority Monday-Wednesday.
